Printed in Venice by Aldus Manutius the Younger. This volume contains several dedications and laudatory poems by several authors in addition to the title poem. Also of note are two compositions in Greek by the author. This volume represents one of about ten copies in the United States. Cuts: title vignette, initials, head and tail pieces.

Printed in Antwerp by Christophe Plantin. After the title page there is a dedicatory introduction, to Charles D’Assonville, son of Christophe D’Assonville, later (1590-) baron of Bouchout. This specific edition of the promptuarium is probably the only one extant in the United States and one of very few in the world.
