3.1 Scope and Contents Note
Printed by Elzevir in Leiden. Bonaventura and Abraham Elzevier, booksellers and printers in Leyden, active 1621-52. Bonaventura was not regularly established in business until 1617, when he joined his eldest brother, Matthew, who died in 1622. In 1621 he admitted to partnership his nephew, Abraham. They continued to publish together until 1652, in which year both died. On the title page, the date is misprinted MMCXLVII instead of MDCXLVII. This and the edition in Heidelberg. Catalogus: H-W precedes A-H. Includes index.
