This collection consists of 86 bound volumes containing the student publications of Queens College. The titles represented include: Phoenix, Knightbeat, The Crown, Rampart, The Globe, HA-OR, The Beacon, The Last Word, Kastle, Our World, The Spectrum, Third World News, Update, QC Quad, Skyline, Newsbeat, Queens WOrld, and The Knight News. There are some volumes that are duplicates.

The Student Publications Collection consists of 28 Queens College student newspapers and 34 student magazines from the school’s founding in 1937 to the present. They cover national, local, and campus news. Some were developed as competitors with other newspapers; others were made by multicultural groups on campus. Richard Branciforte Oral History

Abstract

This oral history records Richard Branciforte's interview as conducted by Rebecca Rushfield as part of the Queens Memory Project in October 2018. In it, he recalls his time at Queens College in the mid 1960s and specifically the role of house plans in the social fabric of the campus. He founded Kingston House, one of the most influential house plans, in 1963.
