The majority of materials span Rosenthal’s professional career as a working artist from the 1970s to the 2010s. As evidenced by the materials, Rosenthal pursued avant-garde projects such as surrealist photography and Super 8 short films, while also working as a photojournalist for major publications such as the New York Post and Village Voice....

Scope and Contents This subseries includes clothing and accessories belonging to Rosenthal and her mother, Evelyne, designated by Rosenthal as part of her Unfashionable Art project.
