Campus-Community Partnerships, 2010-2011
This file contains flyers, an oversized poster, a planning document, photographs, and video recordings of two A/AC campus-community partnership program events from December 2010 and February 2011. Also included is a recording of faculty and student reflections from April 2011.

This file contains ephemeral items from the A/AC such as business cards of the center, previous staff members, and director, A/AC letterhead, and an A/AC plaque. This file also contains documents of recognition from various elected officials' offices for the work the A/AC has done for the Asian American community such as: Declaration of Honor from Queens Borough President Helen M. Marshall dated October 2006 and a proclamation from Council Member Karen Koslowitz dated May 2011.
Census Research, 2000
This file contains newspaper clippings and research from the Census Bureau on the topic of the 2000 Census. Flat file contains folder of oversized newspaper articles with census information. Clippings are from the following publications: Newsday, The New York Times, and the Liberty Times. From this research, the A/AC produced a one-pager fact sheet with takeaways from the census and what it means for Asian Americans in the U.S.
Summer Institute, 2010-2012
This file contains media, promotional materials, oversized posters, and one publication of student reflections from the A/AC Summer Institute titled "At Home in the World: Young People Reflect on Asian American Communities". The Summer Institute ran from 2010-2011 during one week of the summer of July 2010 and July 2011. A flyer for the 2012 Summer Institute is included.
Asian/American Center Records
The Asian/American Center, founded at Queens College in 1987, fostered community based research focused on the Asian diaspora and acted as a bridge between campus and community. The collection contains administrative materials such as newsletters and brochures, flyers and photographs of events, samples of translated documents from their Translation Program, materials from the Asian American Community Studies minor, and research produced by the A/AC.
