This subseries consists mainly of documents pertaining to the functioning of eMediaLoft as a studio and business. Includes correspondence, promotional materials, classifieds, and additional business-related documents.

Historical note

eMedialoft.org (also known as the Media Loft) was founded in 1982 by Barbara Rosenthal and Bill Creston as a platform for multimedia and avant-garde art and artists. eMedialoft.org also offers technical and creative services such as film and video recording, audiovisual editing, publication (through affiliated imprints Washington Street Press, Xanadu Press, and PlushNY Magazine), scanning, photography and retouching, as well as the use of equipment including sewing machines, button-makers and a darkroom. Additionally eMedialoft.org hosts art events and exhibitions.
