Scope and Contents
Handwritten music manuscript of "String Quartet #2" by Mandelbaum. Handwritten annotations and notes throughout the piece are mainly isntructional. Handwritten note on the end reads "*By the end the bows are almost touching the bridge and barely engaging the strings or moving at all|June 17, 1979. Conceived and begun Summer 1965. Completed, late Spring 1979. Almost no work in between." Key of C Major.
There is a second copy of this piece that includes seperate sheet music for Violin I, Violin II, Cello, and Viola respectively. All play in the same key of C. The manuscripts each contain staffs that indicate the cues and ones that indicate when to play.
