Civilian Defense War Effort Literature, 1941 - 1946
A collection of pamphlets, teaching aids, and informational documents encouraging citizen education in a variety of subjects pertaining to civlian defense and the war effort. These documents are produced by various departments and offices of the U.S. government, including the Department of Civilian Defense, Office of Emergency Managment and Office of Price Administration.
Queens College Library newsletters
This collection consists of issues of the Queens College Library Newsletter published between 1953 and 2010, as it was rebranded several times throughout its run. The Library Newsletter provided information on events, staff updates, and pressing library discussion topics of the time.
World War II Collection
This collection consists of a variety of materials all relating to the Second World War from the American perspective including United States Marine Corps photographs, correspondence between a Colonel stationed in the Phillipines and his romantic partner, illustrated maps printed in the New York Sunday News and one hand drawn map from the early 1940s. Additional items include Armed Services Edition paperback books and Civil Defense literature.
