This collection contains several early printed books from the 16th and 17th centuries. Many of the holdings were printed in Italy, mostly in the Manutius workshop of Venice. The rest were printed in The Netherlands, England, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Belgium. Printed in Lyons by Jean de Tournes for Antonius Gryphius. Lacks title page. Only a short dedicatory text, to Phillippus Thebalducius Iacominius (otherwise unknown?). The last page is an illustration of a Griffon, which has led the cataloguer to the office of Gryphius in Leiden.
