Conferences, 2004, 2011
A/AC ran several conferences which produced subsequent research. This file contains three CDs of photographs of the May 2004 "Asian American Experience in Education" conference.
Heritage Events, 2004-2005, 2013-2019
This file contains flyers, photographs, and posters of A/AC heritage events such as AAPI Heritage Month and Lunar New Year events (referred to on CD labels as "Chinese New Year" in 2004-5, and "Lunar New Year" in 2017). Eleven CDs with photographs. This file also contains two oversized posters advertising Lunar New Year festivities in 2017 and ten AAPI Heritage Month posters ranging from the years 1993, and 2015-2019 kept in flat files.
Summer Institute, 2010-2012
This file contains media, promotional materials, oversized posters, and one publication of student reflections from the A/AC Summer Institute titled "At Home in the World: Young People Reflect on Asian American Communities". The Summer Institute ran from 2010-2011 during one week of the summer of July 2010 and July 2011. A flyer for the 2012 Summer Institute is included.
Luncheons, 2006, 2008

Asian/American Center Records
The Asian/American Center, founded at Queens College in 1987, fostered community based research focused on the Asian diaspora and acted as a bridge between campus and community. The collection contains administrative materials such as newsletters and brochures, flyers and photographs of events, samples of translated documents from their Translation Program, materials from the Asian American Community Studies minor, and research produced by the A/AC.
