Printed writing on the score reads "text by May Sarton. c-all rights reserved" and "Joel Mandelbaum 2004". Annotations and notes on the printed score are handwritten but photocopied from original. Handwritten "Song Cycle #13" on the front page, and "Settings of three poems from 'Coming into Eighty' by May Sarton" under the title. Abstract
The Joel Mandelbaum Manuscripts and Printed Music collection contains numerous printed and handwritten scores and manuscripts created by Joel Mandelbaum. Dr. Mandelbaum joined the Queens College faculty in 1961, serving as a professor of music for the Queens College Department of Music (later renamed the Aaron Copland School of Music in 1980) and retiring in 1999 after 37 years of service to the university.
