Scope and Contents

Many of the photographs in this collection document Greller's Fulbright work in Sri Lanka circa 1980 and 1981 when he taught at the University of Perideniya. Included are also 9 black and white photographs from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. There are also 25 color photographs from an album titled "Field Botony Summer '88," which appear to document the class, including field work undertaken.

The Professional and Personal Papers are housed in six folders. These papers include a variety of materials, among them greeting cards, announcements for lectures and conferences, letters, one slide, a few color photographs, programs, invitations, copies of newspaper articles, and postcards.

News Clippings, 1970 - 1998

Scope and Contents The newspaper clippings include a faculty profile of Andrew Greller from a 1981 issue of Newsbeat, the Queens College weekly newspaper. Several of the newspaper clippings document Greller's local conservation efforts and two of the clippings highlight Greller's role in teaching about the botanical content of areas on Long Island and Queens. Scope and Contents The awards series consists of plaques and certificates. The largest plaque is from 1979 appointing Andrew Greller as a member of the Northeastern Queens Nature and Historical Preserve Commission. According to Greller, this plaque was signed by Governor Hugh Carey in disappearing ink (evident in its faded appearance) - apparently due to Carey's strong dislike of him.
