Arrangement

The Manuscripts and Sketches subseries is arranged in the following groupings: Opus works; Incidental Music (background music for plays); and Educational Music (choral and instrumental). These groupings align with the List of Works found in Schwarz, Boris. “Karol Rathaus.” The Musical Quarterly, vol. 41, no. 4, 1955, pp. 481–95. Additional manuscripts not found in Schwarz's list and unidentified sketches have also been grouped together. Film scores and Rathaus's work restoring Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov are arranged in their own subseries.
