Scope and Contents
This file contains materials from an exhibit titled "City Streets: Aesthetics and Design of Street Furniture" which ran from October 18-30, 1961 in the Paul Klapper Library Art Center. The show was presented by the Department of Anthropology-Sociology at Queens College, and was a travelling exhibition of the American Federation of Arts sponsored by the Architectural League, the Municipal Art Society of New York, and the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Materials include a folded brochure with information about and images from the exhibit, as well as a statement written by Dr. Erich Rosenthal of the Department of Anthrolopogy-Sociology.
