Journals, 2016 - 2023, Undated

These materials includes some loose journal pages found scattered throughout the collection, as well as a collection of several journals handwritten on legal pads, dating from the last few years of Cohen’s life, until just a few weeks before his death in 2023. The entries cover a range of subject matter--from Cohen's day-to-day activities to deeper reflections on his overall career and life. The journals also include bits of poems, ideas for titles, and an extensive list of "famous people" Cohen had met during his life.

During processing, the archivist discovered two of the legal pad journals sustained mold damage. To prevent damage to the rest of the materials, these two journals were digitized and removed from the collection. PDFs of these journals are available by request.
