"Nous sommes tous indesirables" / "Flins pas flics", circa 1968

 Item — Box: 1, Folder: 3

Scope and Contents

A double-sided oversized book page displaying two posters designed and printed by the Atelier Populaire, a workshop founded by student activists and artists occupying the print shop at the Ecole National Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris during the May 1968 student uprisings. The recto side depicts a navy blue image of student leader Daniel Cohn-Bendit above the phrase, "nous sommes tous 'indesirables'," which translates to "we are all 'undesireable'." On the verso, bold red-orange block letters read "flins pas flics," which translates to "flins yes, cops, no." Text associated with both images is translated into English, Italian, Spanish, and German on the bottom of each page.
