Scope and Contents
Box 3 ranges from 1958-1964, box 4 ranges from 1963-1971, box 5 ranges from 1972-1981, and box 6 ranges from 1981-1985. These records represent the ongoing activities of the College campus during this period. This includes new faculty hires, changes in the administration, changes in College offerings and programs, College programming and events, campus life, directives from College leadership, and overall College expansion, which was tumultous and at-risk during some of these years.
Current events reflected in the records during this period include student protests and activism on campus (primarily during the late 1960's), the Vietnam War, and various financial crises facing the country, New York City, the College, and the University at large.
