Faculty/Staff Bulletins, 1940-1958
Scope and Contents
Box 1 ranges from 1940-1947 and is largely to do with the significant impacts of World War II on the College, including regular directives from the College president, and relayed/reprinted messages from the New York City Mayor, the President of the United States, and various military and government agencies. During these years the College was very significantly involved in the war effort at most levels of College life, which is reflected in these records.
Box 2 ranges from 1947-1958 and represents the ongoing activities of the College campus during this period. This includes new faculty hires, changes in the administration, changes in College offerings and programs, and overall College expansion which was significant in this period.
