Includes black and white as well as color images measuring 5" x 7" that portray Marshall and colleagues engaging in political activities from the early 1980s to early 2000s.

Majority of the materials are written in English. A small quantity of correspondence is in Spanish and Korean. It is possible that there are other languages present throughout the correspondence, though it would be a very small percentage.

From the Sub-Series: 8.21 Linear Feet (One oversized flat box measuring 22.5" x 15.5" x 2.25", two small photo boxes measuring 8" x 5" x 6", one flat box with a hinged lid measuring 15.5" x 10.5" x 3.25", and five standard record cartons measuring 15.5" x 12.5" x 10.25" each.)

Processing Information

Photos in this file are preserved and stored in a variety of ways, including being wrapped in archival bond paper and standing upright in archival folders, placed in archival envelopes and standing upright in boxes, or in mylar sheets standing upright in folders. Bond paper, envelopes, and folders have dates written on them if information was available. These mixed preservation methods are due to limited resources of archival materials and project timeline concerns, which prioritized access and did not permit the selection of one method to preserve the massive quanitity of photos in the entire series. Future preservation work should consider reassembling photos within boxes according to best practices.
