Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies Records
The Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies Records contains documents, correspondence, flyers, newspaper clippings, and photographs created by and related to the Center since their founding in 1974 to present. Since its inception, the Center has sought to promote Greek culture and academia through various courses, publications, and events.
Center for Ethnic, Racial & Religious Understanding (CERRU) records
The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU) is a diversity education center housed at Queens College that provides nonviolent communication tools to bridge social differences and create a more equitable society. This collection documents its history through publications, organizational files, and ephemera produced by the organization.
Chapbooks Collection
Chapbooks are small books of poems, essays, or fiction. This chapbook collection consists of over 200 volumes published from 2000 to 2019, and includes works by Queens College faculty member Kimiko Hahn and other writers and poets like Sandra Cisneros, Stephen Dunn, and Louise Glück.
Charles S. Colden Papers
This collection contains the professional and personal papers of Charles S. Colden, founder of Queens College. This collection includes correspondence, legal records, print materials, newspaper clippings, photographs, awards/honors, and various papers. Also included are minutes, speeches, invitations, and various papers pertaining specifically to Queens College and the Queens College Association.
Chief Librarian Records
Files of the Chief Librarian from 1970-1996. These files document the responsibilities of the Chief Librairan overseeing all library services and operations. Files contain correspondence, meeting minutes, memorandums, proposals, and other administrative documents.
Collection on Andrew Goodman
Small collection of materials about Andrew Goodman collated by college administrators and librarians, including correspondence with the Goodman family; articles; publicity materials for events; exhibit text and reproductions; and commemorative poems and speeches.
Comedias Sueltas Collection
Plays of the Spanish Golden Age were published in collection (parte) or separately (suelta). Comedias sueltas were published in Spain from the early 1600s to around 1850. The suelta (lit. “loose”) format consisted of a single play printed in a small pamphlet, although many were later bound into collected volumes. This collection consists of more than 160 items, mostly from the eighteenth century, and includes works by famous dramatists like Lope de Vega and Pedro Calderón de la Barca.
Constance Waters Collection
This collection consists of published materials pertaining to the history of Flushing, N.Y., and some of its prominent residents. Most items are in the form of pamphlets or softcover booklets printed by the Flushing Historical Society and other local organizations.
CUNY Open Admissions Collection
The City University of New York was among the largest university systems to support a universal open admissions policy. The Open Admissions Collection contains reports, articles, transcripts, and guidebooks from the first decade of this effort.
