Scope and Contents The collection documents the experience of eight Queens College students and their Foods professor, Dr. Helen Volkman, on an educational tour to Europe during the summer of 1973. The six week tour, titled "Foods, Fashions, and Furnishings," was sponsored by Scholastic International. Photographs of the 1973 trip (group shots, tourist destinations, etc) and subsequent reunions of the group, including 3.5 x 3.5 inch color prints, 4 x 6 color prints, and color slides. Students are often dressed in iconic fashions of the period, including bold prints, plaids, bell bottoms, etc.
