Abstract

Queens College Creative Services employs and/or contracts photographers to document academics, student life, and events on campus to create publicity and marketing material about the college. This collection includes photograph prints, photograph albums, and some negatives from the founding of the college in 1937 through about 2007, used by the Creative Services department in its work.

Scope and Contents Photographs depict faculty and staff of Queens College at all eras of college history. Some folders are organized by department (academic or institutional), and some are organized by names. Many depict instructors or workers in classrooms or on campus, but there is a sizable contingent of formal head shots (mostly from the 1950s).
