Scope and Contents

This file consists of a small number of posters, fliers, leaflets, educational and recruitment materials, and organizational statements created and distributed in the 1960s in New York City by organizations such as the Fifth Avenue Vietnam Peace Parade Committee, the Youth Against War and Facism, and the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The materials advocate for rallies and demonstrations against the actions of the police and US government to subjugate and disenfranchise Black people and to imprison Black Power movement leaders and activists.
