Scope and Contents

This file contains a small number of posters and educational/recruitment materials issued by various activist organizations from around New York City around the late 1960s to early 1970s. Organizations calling for political action (rallies, protests, etc) and distributing the materials include the Iranian Students Association, the American Committee to Keep Biafra Alive, and the Revolutionary Youth Organizing Committee. The issues touched upon by these organizations include the civilian toll of the Nigerian Civil War between the Nigerian government and the Republic of Biafra as well as impact of US political and military support of the Shah of Iran.
