Historical Note
A lengthy description of the Central House Plan is in the 1967-1968 Central House Plan Membership Booklet. This description is partly reproduced below:
"Central House Plan started at Queens College in 1947 when several house plans decided they needed a central body to coordinate their activities. Today CHP has developed into a service organization as well as a coordinating body... The last few years saw the Central House Plan become the most active social organization. Already the largest organization of its kind on campus (our 63 house plans contain over 2,400 members), Central House Plan presented several events which were of benefit to its members and the campus at large."
