This series contains research and materials on more than a hundred artists and events Schwarz covered for publications including The New York Times, Pulse!, Out, Stereo Review and others. Subseries A is arranged alphabetically by name or title and includes interview transcripts, press kits, drafts of articles with annotations by Schwarz, correspondence with publications, and photographs of the artists. Subseries B contains program notes written by Schwarz for the Long Island Philharmonic and The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Subseries C contains in depth research on Steve Reich, including interview transcripts, copies of publications, liner notes written by Schwarz, copies of scores written by Reich, and drafts and completed pieces about Reich.
