Historical Exams (Samples), 1920s-1970s
Scope and Contents
This series contains a selection of exams and assessments (11 folders) on a number of subjects from across the United States. These include a variety of scholastic ability tests (1920-1942) such as verbal ability, study skills, inventory activities and interests, general intelligence examination, public school correlated attainment scales; tests on stenographic education (1939-1947); a school self-assessment (1942); several library education tests (1950-1955); Army General Classification Test (1960); Personal Adjustment Inventory (1961) by Carl Rogers for the National Board of YMCA’s; a set of the Stanford Achievement Tests for grades 1-9 (1965); an assortment of health education assessments (1965-1971); and The Bitch Test (1972) by Robert L. Williams, Black Studies Program at Washington University.
