Associates' Races, circa mid-1970s to early 2000s
Scope and Contents
The materials in this subseries demonstrate Marshall's decades-worth of political campaign involvement, first as a district leader of the Frederick Douglass Democratic Association through which she supported the campaigns of her associates, then as a block running mate or public supporter of various other Democratic races throughout the years. Materials include campaign flyers, newsletters, clippings, press releases, statements of endorsement, and more. In addition to the files on Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton, and David Dinkins, other notable Democratic politicians in this subseries include Carol Gresser, Ivan Lafayette, Gary Ackerman, Alan Hevesi, Peter Vallone, George Pataki, Al Gore, and Fernando Ferrer, among others.

Language of Materials
Majority of the materials are written in English. A small quantity of correspondence is in Spanish and Korean. It is possible that there are other languages present throughout the correspondence, though it would be a very small percentage.

Arrangement
This subseries is arranged into files that reflect Marshall's support and tracking of the campaigns of a few well-known Democratic politicians, including Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton, and David Dinkins. Marshall's engagement with the campaigns of other well-known and lesser-known politicians are included in the General Elections file. Clippings from newspapers regarding other candidates' races are also organized into a file.
