Documents pertaining to the activities of political caucuses and coalitions of which Marshall was a member or held close ties, including the National Women's Political Caucus, Coalition of 100 Black Women, Council of Black Elected Democrats, Frederick Douglass Democratic Association, National Council of Negro Women, Inc., and more.

Language of Materials
Majority of the materials are written in English. A small quantity of correspondence is in Spanish and Korean. It is possible that there are other languages present throughout the correspondence, though it would be a very small percentage.
