Scope and Contents
This file contains materials related to Marshall's experience working to establish and run the Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center, a branch of the Queens Borough Public Library. Marshall co-founded the library in 1969 in collaboration with Black community organizations including the Black Panthers.

Language of Materials
Majority of the materials are written in English. A small quantity of correspondence is in Spanish and Korean. It is possible that there are other languages present throughout the correspondence, though it would be a very small percentage.
