Scope and Contents

Includes a 1999 report by Youth Force entitled "Jail Logic," as well as press clips and correspondence related to criminal, racial, and social justice. One folder contains materials about the Rose Singer Nursery for mothers incarcerated at Rikers Island in 1993. Also includes a case file of Jesse Cromer regarding the pursuit of justice against parking violations. Access to materials in this file may be restricted.

Language of Materials

From the Collection:

Majority of the materials are written in English. A small quantity of correspondence is in Spanish and Korean. It is possible that there are other languages present throughout the correspondence, though it would be a very small percentage.
