This series contains reports, journal and newspaper articles, correspondence, and guides dealing with HIV/AIDS research, treatments, and social and political aspects that arose from Robert’s diagnosis and subsequent efforts to learn about the disease and educate others. Materials relating explicitly to the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) are omitted here, and can be found in Series II. Robert’s involvement with People With AIDS (PWA) is included in Series VIII: Politics.
