Scrapbooks, 1970 - 1999
Scope and Contents
Scrapbook 1 covers the dates from 1970- 1975, with the exception of one photograph from 1994. It contains primarily newspaper clippings, one documenting Earth Day of 1970, and some which document the efforts to preserve the land Greller termed as the Terminal Moraine Natural Systems Area, against the proposed widening of the Grand Central Parkway. There is also an article about the trees of Long Island written by Greller. The scrapbook contains a small bit of correspondence and some photographs. There is a letter to Andrew Greller from the Mayor John V. Lindsay inviting him to attend the formal occasion of adding Udalls Cove to the City Park system. There is also a thank you note to Andrew Greller from a group of his students.
Scrapbook 2 covers the dates of 1982-1999. It contains a mix of correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings and ephemera. There is some correspondence documenting Greller's promotion at Queens College. A newspaper clipping documents Greller's appointment by Governor Carey as a member of the Northeastern Queens Nature and Historical Preserve Commission. Some papers document a portion of Greller's time spent in India.
