This series includes letters from Forbes and his brother Emerson (Bud) Hill regarding a violent incident involving the Ku Klux Klan in Augusta, Georgia while Forbes was campaigning for Henry A. Wallace in 1948. Also included is correspondence from 1964 between Forbes and Harold W. Stoke, then President of Queens College, regarding a loyalty statement that Forbes was required to sign upon his being hired at the College.
