Correspondence, 1965 - 2002
Scope and Contents
The correspondence in this collection documents Greller's submissions and reviews of many scholarly research articles to various publications, and offers a look at the network of academics he associated with, which included professors in biology departments all over the country, and some international correspondence as well. There is one brief 1979 letter to Greller from the famous evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould. There is also correspondence regarding The Torrey Botanical Club Centennial Climb of Grays and Torreys Peaks of 1972 and a 1982 letter of thanks to Andrew Greller from Governor Hugh Carey. The only document in this series which is not specifically correspondence is a draft of one of Andrew Greller’s papers that he wrote with two other scholars from 1970 titled “Organogenesis, Aestivation and Anthesis in the flowers of Lilium Tigrinum.”
