Buttons, Banners and Posters, circa mid-1970s to early 2000s

 Sub-Series — Multiple Containers

Scope and Contents

This subseries contains buttons, banners, posters, and clippings that advertise the campaigns of Marshall and other politicians campaigning on both the local and federal levels between the mid-1970s and early 2000s. The clippings in this subseries are newspaper headlines from local media outlets (i.e. Queens Gazette, Queens Tribune, etc.) advertising Marshall's campaign and election victories, which were separated from general clippings. The buttons in particular include a mix of anti-Republican propaganda (i.e. "Reagan Hood: Rob From the Poor and Give to the Rich" button) and pro-Democrat support. In addition to Marshall, some notable politicians included in this collection are Ronald Reagan, Jesse Jackson, Geraldine Ferraro, Walter Mondale, David Dinkins, and Mario Cuomo, among others.
