Scope and Contents

Materials here include a typed draft of the novel, a marked-up copyediting pass of the book, and an uncorrected proof from G. P. Putnam's Sons (the publisher)--demonstrating some stages of the American publication process during the mid-to-late 1960s.

Cohen adapted $250,000 for the stage in his play Cakes with the Wine, examples of which are included in the Plays and Musicals subseries.

Promotional materials, reviews, and other ephemera related to the publication of $250,000, including an invitation to a launch event, are in the Scrapbook series.

A printed copy of the book is included in the Publications subseries.
