The Audio Recordings series consists of 11 cassettes and 2 magnetic tapes, including recordings of performances, rehearsals, compositions, and personal content. These recordings offer a deeper insight into Kouguell's musical career, collaborations with other Queens College musicians, and relationships with close family members.
Leo Kraft Papers
Leo Kraft (1922 – 2014) was an American composer, educator, and author born in Brooklyn, New York. He taught music theory and composition at the Queens College School of Music, to later become the Aaron Copland School of Music, from 1948 to 1989. He was a key member in developing the music theory curriculum. Kraft composed many works of chamber music, and he also contributed orchestral, piano, vocal, and electronic music to his oeuvre.
Music Manuscripts, 1929 - 1982
The Music Manuscripts series include manuscripts written by Kouguell's father Arkadie Kouguell, Leo Kraft, and other composers, some of who dedicated their works to Kouguell. The manuscripts include Alexander Kouguell's notes and compositions that he wrote himself.
